Fierce Fabulous and Proud

Happy Pride!

June, a time of year, people celebrate and stand with the LGBTQ community. You guys know, Sugarox is a gay owned and operated company, and honestly, pride happens all year long over here.  Fierce Fabulous and Proud is a way of life for us,  and this is always present in the way we name our candy 🙂
Given it is Pride month, I want to spill the beans on a not so well known fact about Tamalitoz. Our flavors are camp, fun, and Gay on purpose, “Divine Watermelon,” “Lip-Smacking Mango,” “Cucumber Extravaganza,” “Tantalizing Tamarind,” and “Pineapple Galore”. They are a celebration of the fierce, fabulous, sweet, and spicy members of the Rainbow Nation (they also sound delicious when you say them, and are supposed to make you smile.) Every time we come up with a name, one of the Criteria is, would that make an excellent Drag Name.

As a kid growing up in the ’80s, being called Gay was a terrible insult. There was no pride in being gay. There was fear and self-loathing. Hiding your true self as an adolescent was a full-time job.
Fortunately, you grow up, discover your place in the world and realize how your gayness is fabulous, that is, if you are lucky enough to find yourself in an accepting environment.

This week the Supreme Court made a ruling protecting LGBT workers, a huge step forward. Honey, you are free to be yourself and not worry about losing your job. Such a simple action will make such a big difference in the lives of so many people.

As the nation becomes more open and accepting, Tamalitoz will openly champion the community that we at Sugarox are proud to be a part of.

In doing so, we would like to take this opportunity to announce our newest and possibly most Fabulous flavors of Tamalitoz by Sugarox.

Cherry It’s a Fire & Gorgeous Green Apple. These sweet hotties will hit the shelves very soon. Keep an eye on this space  to find out more about when they will be available
